3.10 – Polica

Finally! A song with an official video to back it up. Sorry everyone – I’ve been focussing on the more obscure album tracks from the artists so far, so here’s a “proper” one.

This is Minnesota electro-pop outfit Polica – one of the city’s prolific Gayngs collective – with the super sultry Lime Habit. A kind of heady mix of Portishead and Moon Safari-era Air, full of dark little electric noir elements and some amazing vocals.

I can’t emphasise enough just how much I love this song – and remember, this is coming from someone that’s not usually a big electro aficionado. It’s a genre that I rarely get inspired or amazed by (more out of ignorance than anything) but this is something special.
