47 – PJ Bond

I’m a big fan of the Ryan Adams-esque country Americana sound, so I’m generally happy to hear new variations of this genre.

Hailing from New Brunswick, he’s got that kind of Lynyrd Skynyrd/Jesse Malin kind of drawl and some 29-era Adams-sounding melodies. And what beautiful tunes they are.

His latest album Where Were You? is an absolute treat, and I personally like this song the best – Calm in the Corner. Go check it out. You’ll be glad you did.

(acoustic live version on the vid. Great performance, but I prefer the album version with the country slide guitars in it. Call me old-fashioned…)
