I’ve played a lot of indie rock so far on this new music journey, but surprisingly little in the way of early 90s throwback shoegaze-y, new wave-inspired stuff. So here’s something that fits the latter.
Leicester group Lusts have been making some waves recently in the music press and it’s not difficult to see why. With a musical style that evokes the early output of Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen, alongside the darker moments of new romanticism, this is shimmery reverb-drenched indie at it’s best. Check out their debut single Temptation and you’ll see why.
