Some fuzzy soft rock, Americana/alt country sounds today from Nashville-based band Escondido. This is Cold October taken from their 2013 album The Ghost of Escondido and it’s lovely.
It’s got a lovely roadhouse vibe, with lots of trippy, slightly distorted guitars dancing beneath playful, childlike vocals – and it’s just incredibly pleasant to listen to. Again, it’s not the most original of sounds, but when it’s done with such penuche I’m hard pressed to find fault with that.
Take a listen and see what you think.
