Day 145 – The Family Crest

Something a little out of left field today – with some fiddle-filled classical electro-folk from San FraNcisco-based group The Family Crest.

Kind of an orchestral-folk rock collective, these guys are excellent and this track Beneath The Brine is a great showcase of their talents. Big and breathless, with stirring cellos and bombastic crescendos as it meanders around the Bach-inspired melody, this is excellent stuff indeed.

Check out the rest of their latest album – also entitled Beneath The Brine – for more examples of their distinct style and musical prowess. You won’t be disappointed.
