Day 3 – Tessa Rose Jackson

I’ve said that the 365 New Music Project will include exploring different musical genres rather than just being an exercise in finding the 2010 versions of the kind of rock and indie  I enjoyed as a kid. So with that in mind, here’s a gorgeous piece of whimsical pop.

According to her website, Tessa Rose Jackson is a 20-year-old Dutch multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer – and her debut album (Songs from) The Sandbox is full of sweet, soulful tunes that thankfully avoid straying too far into sugary tweeness.

In my opinion this is the best song on the album. All the King’s Horses is a wonderfully melodic pop journey that I’m amazed hasn’t become a hit over here. lovely stuff.
